1. Which part you did well in the first half of the semester? Which level do you think you are at this point?
2. Which part you would like to improve for the second half of the semester?
3. Create a video and upload it to your blog, reporting on your growth, development, progress, and areas to improve/grow.
Up until this point, I’ve felt fairly confident in this class but Midterm week definitely was extremely challenging and I have noticed some lack of organization on my part. As I’m preparing my portfolio in my other design classes I’ve put a lot of energy into that and have struggled to keep track of other assignments. Reflecting now, I am getting back on track and I do feel that moving forward in the class I can make sure that the dates in my planner line up with the dates on Canvas, and from there I can make sure to not fall behind. If there are any tips you can think of as well to stay organized that would be greatly appreciated as well. I’m pretty disappointed in myself for missing a few assignments being that this shouldn’t be happening in a capstone class and I know it can be avoided with planning. Overall, I feel that my blog has been helpful for me to organize my thoughts and I would definitely say that the presentations and art-making have been my strong suit. I think I have been prepared for class most times and have tried to provide positive feedback for peers. It does seem harder to provide more constructive feedback. I do feel that it was easier to share written feedback that focused on details of different presentations but it was also really nice to hear from classmates on how our presentations as well. I think I have developed my inquiry fairly well and I am excited about the different research opportunities I can explore. One thing I really need to work on is making sure that I’ve completed all the assignments on time; since the midterm week was very stressful I feel like I’m able to get back on track and power forward with my research to the final.
